A new Banbury bridal shop is aiming to be ‘really fun and welcoming’ as it takes over a previous wedding outlet’s premises.
21 Dresses, owned and run by Jo Levett and Denise Whale, is a new bridal and occasion wear shop in Horton View.
The new business opened at the beginning of April, taking over the premises from Just Weddings which traded in town for ten years.
Both directors worked at the previous business but are now keen to make their mark with a shop of their own.
Mrs Levett said: “Just Weddings closed at the end of March and we completely refurbished the shop during a week before opening on April 5.
“It’s a very different shop with different suppliers and even if you’ve been to Just Weddings in the past it’s definitely worth coming back as it’s completely different.”
Mrs Levett added the shop layout is much more open and welcoming. She said: “Our aim is to have a really fun and welcoming shop so people can just come in to try on some dresses and enjoy it! We have been planning it for over a year and it’s lovely to see it all come together, along with the help from our family and friends who got stuck into the refurbishment.”
21 Dresses is offering new bridal designers as well as Mother of the Bride, prom dresses and evening wear ranges.
Dresses cost from £140 to £999 and cater for sizes UK2-UK34. Accessories including hats, fascinators, bespoke jackets, shoes, garters and ring cushions are available.
The shop is also able to offer a bespoke dress making and alterations service.
21 Dresses will be running a Dress Up! promotion offering packages and discounts in its Sample Boutique from tomorrow (Friday) until Monday. See www.21dresses.co.uk or call 01295 701161.
