Ella, is well known in the town for her original paintings, with some of her work currently display in a pop-up initiative in the High Street.

She said: “I paint art with character and art for children. I see the world differently since having children and that is reflected in my art. My paintings often contain images of childhood; whether that be a portrait, toys, or just a sense of fun.

“You don’t often think of art as a product, but the judges have looked at it this way and I am actually up against another artist in the final. My paintings are certainly a product of my creativity, and a lot of work goes into them, so I guess they are a product in that sense.”

Networking Mummies UK Ltd has 32 branches in the UK and supports mums, dads and families in business with free networking events and affordable workshops.

They provide online and offline support and they do not charge membership fees which means people can attend when they want. This is the third year Networking Mummies UK Ltd have hosted their National Business Awards to recognise the hard working mums and dads across the country.

The winners will be announced at their awards ceremony on Saturday, April 16 at Aston Villa Football Club in Birmingham where they will also be raising funds for Meningitis Now on the night.

Mrs Hendy added: “This came as a real surprise but I am delighted to be a finalist in this national award. I love painting and it means a lot when other people love my work too. Ahead of Artweeks, which I am doing for the first time, this is turning into a very exciting year!”

Ella will also be taking part in Oxfordshire Artweeks in May, during which she will be showcasing lots of new work.
