The owners of a top-rated village hotel will be boasting a completely refurbished establishment next week.

From Monday, visitors to the Best Western Wroxton House Hotel will experience new kitchen and restaurant facilities – the finishing touch to an entire revamp project.

The hotel is privately owned by John and Gill Smith, who celebrated their five-year anniversary as owners on December 19.

Since taking it over, the couple has spent time and money on improving the idyllic thatched property; something which has not gone unrecognised as it has secured 17th place on TripAdvisor’s top 20 best hotels in the UK.

Mrs Smith said: “When we came and looked at the hotel we knew it needed a lot of money spent on it, but it had such a lovely feel when we walked through the door.”

But despite the completed restaurant being the last piece of the refurbishment puzzle, Mr and Mrs Smith are not going to rest on their laurels.

“Guests nowadays have so much choice and loads of options so we’ve got to continually move forward to be the best ,” said Mrs Smith. She added: “Our strong point is customer service. We have a fabulous team who go out of their way to accommodate our guests.”

Dating in parts from 1649, Wroxton House Hotel is ideally located on the edge of the Cotswolds and only four miles from the M40. It is within close proximity to a range of tourist hotspots, such as Blenheim Palace, Warwick Castle and Stratford-upon-Avon. The hotel is available for everything from wedding receptions and conferences to a quiet weekend break.

Currently on offer in the new and improved restaurant is £10 off per couple who dine from the £33 four-course dinner menu. Quote REST1649 when booking.
