A new aesthetics clinic led by a non-surgical cosmetic consultant is all set to open in Banbury.

Next Tuesday, Stephen Wilson – a consultant in non-surgical cosmetic procedures – will open up the doors to Aspire Cosmetics in the Cox and Robinson chemist in South Bar.

Mr Wilson, who has trained nearly a quarter of all UK doctors in cosmetic laser treatment, has more than 11 years of experience in the field and has worked both in London and in Oxfordshire.

He has treated several celebrities throughout his career and has written articles for publications such as The Daily Mail and Red magazine.

He has also been an advisor on ITV’s This Morning and is regularly featured on BBC Radio Oxford.

Mr Wilson has been running Aspire Cosmetics from his home near Woodstock but felt it was time to take the business to a premises in town.

He said: “There’s nothing like this in Banbury at the moment and I think this is a great opportunity for local people to get treatments which are offered in Harley Street done locally.” The clinic will be dedicated to laser derm and will offer a range of treatments such as laser hair removal and solutions for both age-related issues, such as wrinkles, and disease-related issues including fungal nail infection.

Mr Wilson said: “Some of the treatments I offer are only available in a few clinics in the whole of the UK, for example the treatment of fungal nail infection using light; a condition which is otherwise notoriously difficult to treat.

“The premises are just below South Bar GP surgery. I won’t be able to take NHS patients because the treatments are not subsidised by the NHS, but I may be able to offer a price reduction to these patients but it will have to be done on a case by case basis.”

The website at www.aspirecosmetics.org is currently being updated to feature the latest information about the services.
