Banbruy businesses are running out of time to enter this years Green Progress Award a category in the Thames Valley Business Awards 2016.
The award, sponsored by Grundon Waste Management, looks to find Banbury businesses who have ‘gone green’ and gone that extra mile for the green cause.
To have a chance of winning companies will have to show innovative approaches to recycling and waste initiatives; money or energy savings schemes, long-term sustainability projects or improvements to biodiversity and ‘green’ employee programmes, such as encouraging more staff to car share or use public transport.
Last year, the award was won by the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort, which impressed the judges with its efforts to improve sustainability and waste management, including achieving zero waste to landfill and introducing a dedicated food waste collection service.
Grundon’s marketing & communications manager, Anthony Foxlee-Brown, said: “We know that many organisations - both large and small - have been working hard to improve their environmental credentials.
“This is a great opportunity to be recognised for their efforts and we hope as many companies as possible will enter.”
Companies have until September 23 to enter and all information can be found a by visiting www.businessawards.co.uk.
