Anyone looking for new career opportunities can meet employers from a wide range of sectors at next week’s Banbury Job Fair.
Ran by Cherwell District Council, the event will take place on Thursday,March 2 from 4pm to 7pm at Banbury Town Hall, Bridge Street.
A wide range of high-profile and independent employers will be represented at the fair, including Thames Valley Police, Soho House Farm, The Army, Champion Recruitment, Banbury and Bicester College, Faccenda, Citizens Advice Bureau, Ace Training, South Central Ambulance Service and more.
Cllr Lynn Pratt, Cherwell’s lead member for estates and the economy, said: “The Banbury Job Fair will be a great opportunity for those looking for new career opportunities that are available to people locally within a variety of sectors.
“With jobs on offer ranging from hospitality, care work, administration, production, driving and customer service – there is sure to be something for everyone.”
The job fair is a free event open to people of all ages, background and experience including those currently out of work, seeking a return to work or who are employed but seeking a career change.
Advisers from The National Careers Service will also be available for one-to-one appointments between 4pm and 6.30pm to discuss CVs, job options and interview techniques. These can be pre-booked by emailing email@example.com quoting NCS Job Fair appointment.
The event will also feature three presentations;
Red Clematis Coaching – Professional coach Maggie Newton will be offering advice on how to find the confidence to change careers and improve confidence at interviews from 4.30pm to 5pm.
The Army Reserves – find out more about becoming an army reserve in Banbury and how it can increase skills and experience from 5.15pm to 5.45pm.
Patient Transport Service – Those who are thinking of changing career and want a driving job with a difference can find out about the range of opportunities available with the South Central Ambulance Service from 6pm to 6.30pm.
