Members of Banbury’s Muslim community are gathering outside Marks & Spencer on Bridge Street today (Tuesday) to protest against the recent Israeli bombings of the Gaza strip which has seen more than 200 people killed in recent days.

Between 30-40 protesters gathered with placards chanting ‘free ‘Palestine’ slogans. Many of them plan to take part in the national protests in London at the weekend.

The protesters were encouraging residents to boycott shops including Marks & Spencer and Debenhams as they say they stock Israeli goods.

The community also plans to raise £25k to send medical supplies to Palestine.
