A former Banbury police officer found guilty of misconduct has been dismissed from Thames Valley Police.

Sugra Hanif, 27, of Bretch Hill, was found guilty of conspiracy to commit misconduct in a public place after a trial at Winchester Crown Court in January. She will be sentenced on Wednesday, March 12.

Det Ch Supt Tim De Meyer, head of professional standards, said: “The conduct of PC Hanif fell well below the standards that Thames Valley Police and the public expects of its officers. This was a serious case of corruption and it is entirely appropriate she was dismissed from the force.”
