Following the success of last years pirate themed Old Town Party, this year will see the town infiltrated by wizards and fantasy beasts.
Organised by Banbury’s Old Town Association working in association with both Cherwell District Council and Banbury Town Council the popular event will be held on Saturday, September 3 from 9.30am.
It has become a highlight of Banbury’s year in recent years, with businesses based in the Old Town working hard to help promote the independent traders in the town. Incorporating a Harry Potter and fantasy beast theme, traders will be dressing up in fancy dress and decorating their window displays.
There will be plenty of stalls, food vendors, street performers and stilt walkers to entertain the crowds.
Also in attendance will be organ grinders who will be raising money for the Banbury and Distric Samaritans.
The event will encompass Butchers Row, Church Lane and Walk, Cornhill, the Market Place, Parsons Street, St Mary’s Church and White Lion Walk.
