Ace guitarist Danny Young of Banbury has made a massive hit with makers of some of the world’s greatest electric guitar equipment.

Legendary Seymour Duncan, which has developed the most sensitive and successful pickups for the greatest rock guitarists in the world, has adopted Young as the company’s handpicked demonstrator.

And father of three Danny has been invited on a first class, all-expenses paid trip to California to inspect the factory where the equipment is made.

He will also perform in a special gig where his amazing talents will be enjoyed live by the company executives and top invited musicians. His latest demonstration can be seen at

“Just about every famous guitarist has openly used Seymour Duncan’s pickups at some point including Jimi Hendrix, Slash, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Kurt Cobain, Joe Satriani, Dave Gilmour and more,” said Young.

“I’m really excited about going over to Santa Barbara and playing at the world’s largest gear convention (NAMM). Then I’ll go back and spend a couple days hanging out at the factory so they can get my thoughts on future pickups, pedals, etc.”

Young has been doing demos for Seymour Duncan for over a year and launched Jason Becker’s new signature pickup.

He is expected to play in a large benefit gig in Banbury this autumn before his trip to the USA in January.
