Plans to build an Aldi store in Chipping Norton were given the go-ahead by West Oxfordshire District Council at a meeting of its Uplands Area planning committee on Tuesday.

The application for a store at the former Highways depot on Banbury Road was recommended for approval by planning officers . The building will be of artificial stone and there will be parking for 76 vehicles and 10 cycle spaces.

The store will create ten full time and 20 part time jobs.

Chipping Norton Town Council previously voted in favour of the application.
