A DRIVER who died in a accident on Saturday has been named.
Edward Smith, 41, of The Avenue, Whitfield, died when his white Ford Escort van collided with a Peugeot 205 on the A43 at the Whitfield.
The accident happened at about 6.15pm and the drivr of the Peugeot was taken to the Horton Hospital with multiple injuries. His condition is serious but stable.
