SAPA, the aluminium factory in Southam Road, Banbury, which is to close this year, is to help employees find new work.
About 350 people will be out of work when the former Alcan site closes its doors and the extrusions specialist has enlisted the help of a consultancy firm to assist workers looking for new jobs.

Alison Fletcher, job resource consultant at Sapa, said: "Our role is to help staff with their transition by providing workshops, coaching sessions and special events such as days where employers are invited on site to meet potential employees and discuss current and future job opportunites."

It is believed Sapa will close in August this year and Right Management, a career transition consultancy firm, will help workers in the search for alternative employment.
