RESIDENTS in south Warwickshire are being warned not to leave windows open overnight - as it's a great way to get things stolen.
It follows the theft of a handbag, camera, mobile phones and Playstation 3 from a house in Marshall Avenue in Shipston on Stour on July 23.

"Burglars in Warwickshire are enjoying the hot weather" said DS Martyn Stephens.

"This is because a lot of people leave their windows open overnight in the hope of keeping their house cool.

"What they don't realise is that they are sending an invitation to would be burglars that their property is the easiest property in the street to burgle!"
