ONE of the most inovative and defining groups in British music history will be returning to Hook Norton's 13th Music At The Crossroads festival.
The Kast Off Kinks, featuring three original members of the Kinks are being welcomed back to the event having first appeared three years ago.
The Kast Off Kinks feature three former members of The Kinks, including original drummer Mick Avory, Joh
n Dalton who joined The Kinks on bass in 1969 and John Gosling who joined as keyboard player in 1970.
Festival organiser Pete Watkins said: "The Kast off Kinks are a fantastic live band and everyone knows their songs, so it promises to be great day. It will also be a fantastic opportunity for local bands and singers from Hook Norton and Banbury to play on the same bill as some of the all time great song writers."
The Music at the Crossroads festival will be held on Saturday (July 4) at Ferris Hill Farm, behind the Gate Hang's High pub in Hook Norton.
Gates open at 1pm and music will begin at 1,30pm until 11pm. The relaxed and friendly festival is a key date in Oxfordshire's calendar and is a fantastic family day out.
All profits raised are donated to charities and local causes. In previous years Leukaemia Research Fund and the Katherine's House Hospice were two of the charities to benefit from more than £45,000 donated by the organisers, the Hook Norton Charitable Association.
Tickets cost £14 for adults in advance or £18 on the gate. Tickets cost £7 for 11 to 17-year-olds in advance or £14 on the gate. Children aged ten and under go free.
