A WOMAN has appeared at crown court in connection with the Maurice Batts murder case.
Tammey Crain, 22, of Springfield Avenue, Banbury - who is charged with assisting an offender - spoke only to confirm her name during the hearing today (Friday).

Her father James Crain, 53, also of Springfield Avenue, has already been charged with the murder of Banbury boater Mr Batts.

The two will appear at Oxford Crown Court on June 9.

Mr Batts, 64, was found collapsed on his boat, moored on the Oxford Canal near Southam Road, last September and died later in hospital.
