A GILBERT and Sullivan gala night will go ahead in Banbury later in the month.
Forming part of the year-long Charter 400 celebrations, tickets for the Town Hall event on May 22 cost £35 or £250 for a table of ten.

Banbury Operatic Society will perform and a three-course meal is provided at the black tie event.

Banbury was granted a royal charter in 1608, giving the town the right to have a mayor and effectively beginning democracy in the area.

Contact Banbury Town Council on 01295 250340 for more information. Places need to be reserved by May 16.
