DANCERS who have yet to enter for the chance to perform at Banbury's Christmas lights switch-on have been given a reprieve.
The original entrance deadline for tomorrow (Friday August 22) has been extended to allow more auditionees the chance to take to the stage.

The contest is looking for solo dancers, couples and groups to battle it out for the chance to perform a ro
utine at one of the town's most popular events.

All forms of dance - ranging from traditional styles such as tap to more extreme types such as break dancing - are being encouraged to sign up and showcase the variety of dance available in Banbury.

The contest is open to all ages and levels of talent, whether the act is an amateur or experienced professional.

This is the first year that the competition has been launched to mark the first year of the Banbury Guardian's sponsorship to the event.

The final auditions will be held on Monday October 6, when the winning act will be selected to perform at the switch-on on November 30.

Entrance forms are available by clicking here or by calling Banbury Town Council on 01295 250340 where more information is available.
