THIS year's classic motorcycle rally The Banbury Run is promised to be the best yet.
The event celebrates its 60th year in 2008 and has attracted some rare and wonderful machines which will have two routes to choose from.

Beginning at Gaydon's Heritage Motor Centre on June 22 at 10am, the older pre-1915 bikes will take in a 30-mile route while the 1916-1930 machines get the chance to tackle a 60-mile course taking in Sunrising Hill.

The first machine to leave at 10am will be a 1903 Quadrant Banking Tricycle ridden by Geoff Wheeler with a 3hp engine that runs on a special fuel costing £30 a gallon before hundreds of vintage machines follow.

They will come through Banbury itself during the day and vintage machinery is guaranteed to be on display as only bikes built before 1931 are eligible to enter.
