THE Banbury Guardian is Oxfordshire's last remaining broadsheeet newspaper.
First published in 1838, the Guardian is the county's sole broadsheet title following a decision by the Newsquest-owned Oxford Times to switch to the smaller, tabloid format in March 2008.

Banbury Guardian editor Jason Gibbins said: "The Banbury G
uardian has always been extremely proud of its broadsheet heritage and we take a certain pride to now be offering a unique service in Oxfordshire and surrounding areas.

"Our coverage of Brackley and south Northants means that we are also the only broadsheet newspaper published in Northamptonshire."

"However, although we have no current plans to make the switch from broadsheet to tabloid, we are not afraid of change.

"Our website - www.banburytoday.co.uk - is going from strength to strength and now features video content produced by members of the Banbury Guardian team.

"Furthermore, we are committed to listening to the views of our readers and advertisers to provide the service they expect from a 21st century newspaper and multi-media organisation.

"As a result, we want to know what you think of the Guardian, so please sign in or register below to give your views.

"Don't be scare to say what you think. Do you like the broadsheet format? What features do you like or not like? What would you like to see more of?

"We can't promise to put all your thoughts into place, but we do promise to give thought and consideration to everything you say. We appreciate your continued support of the Guardian and look forward to reading your comments."

Banbury Guardian is a great paper, but I do think it should be tabloid rather than broadsheet. It would be easier to read on the train and more convenient at home.

The Guardian takes up so much room in a small office making reading difficult, I am sure more people would read it if it was made in tabloid form. lots of information gets missed on the large broad sheet.
