MAY I offer a crumb of comfort to the traders in Parsons Street, Banbury, as they anticipate the major alterations coming their way?
Some readers may have visited Torquay, my home town, and visited the St Marychurch Precinct near Babbacombe.
The precinct has many shops, mostly independent traders, all of whom seem busy.

Years ago this was called Fore Street with traffic (including buses) clogging the narrow street and having a detrimental effect on business.
Changing it to a pedestrian area was the making of it; a few months of pain to be followed by a period of prosperity.

Parsons Street is full of character, not to be missed!

Bear up traders, you will be winners in the end.
