THE man who tried to push through plans to downgrade the Horton Hospital has given his reaction to the rejection of the proposals.
Trevor Campbell Davis, chief executive of the Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals Trust, held a press conference after the announcement that maternity and children's services are to be protected, following a briefing of staff.

He described the last two years' wrangling between his team and Banbury campaigners as an 'interesting journey' and acknowledged that the Independent Reconfiguration Panel felt that patients' ability to access decent services was as important as the clinical quality of care.
