CROPREDY festival moves into its second day today after some electrifying performances last night.
Seth Lakeman followed by Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra were the main attractions on Thursday evening but the biggest cheer from the 20,000 strong crowd was reserved for Lulu's guest appearance at the end of the evening.
Tonight is set to feature the highlight for many festival-goers as the 1969 Fairport Convention line-up reforms to perform the Liege and Lief album in its entirety.
Speaking to the Banbury Guardian, Fairport's current bassist Dave Pegg said: "It's going to be great, we can't believe the weather and it's extra special because the band has survived this long."
This year marks the fortieth anniversary of Fairport as a band.
