2009: Nik Kershaw to play Cropredy

EIGHTIES star Nik Kershaw has been added to the line-up of Cropredy's Fairport Convention 2009.
The singer, famed for hits including 'I Won't Let The Sun Go Down On Me', 'Wouldn't It Be Good' and 'The Riddle' will play at the annual folk extravaganza on the final night, Saturday August 15.

Kershaw is also responsible for penning Chesney Hawkes's one-hit-wonder 'The One and Only', has worked with Elton John and Bonnie Tyler and was among the performers at Live Aid.

Other artists playing at Cropredy this year include guitar legend Richard Thompson, punk-rockers The Buzzcocks and many more.

British folk artist Scott Matthews has also been confirmed to play on the Friday.
