TIE-DIE shirts and jester hats have been replaced with ponchos and umbrellas as the rain falls at Cropredy Festival.
But spirits will not be dampened for the closing day's action, which will see Fairport Convention take to the stage for their traditional Saturday headline slot.

Tickets are still available for the final day of action, which also sees Midge Ure perform, but anyone interested is urged to check availability at www.fairportconvention.com before setting off.

Spokesman Andy Farquarson said: "We expected it to rain and we have planned for it so it won't affect the running of the festival.

"The forecast is not great but I think it's expected to brighten up later."

Fairport will not be alone when they grace the stage, with numerous special guests lined up and Mr Farquarson promised "a genuine superstar" will be among them.

"It's going to be huge," he said.

"We're not just saying that, this is a genuinely huge name - a real superstar."
