AN EMPLOYMENT agency in Banbury is once again on the lookout for the town’s best employees.

Claire Kingsbury and Stuart Moore of Plus One Personnel in High Street have launched their Banbury Employee of the Year awards for 2013.

The prestigious contest aims to reward Banbury business people for their outstanding contributions in the work place and is now in its third year.

Mrs Kingsbury says she hopes this year’s awards will be a chance to reward hardworking Banbury residents bravely battling through tough times.

“We first started the awards in the recession when there was so much negativity about the economy,” she said. “But we felt there were some fantastic people and fantastic companies around who went out of their way to do something outstanding in the work place.

“We wanted to celebrate what we have got in the area and recognise the great people and great companies we have here.”

For this year’s entry the categories have been changed to include employee of the year, team of the year and employer of the year.

Mrs Kingsbury said: “We wanted to recognise that there are groups of people, teams and departments, who have done outstanding work.

“There are also many employers who have found ways to help their staff through difficult times and have put things in place to make their companies great places to work.” Applications for the three categories will be assessed by a team of judges which includes Banbury MP Sir Tony Baldry and Banbury Guardian Editor Jason Gibbins.

Winners will be presented with a certificate and an engraved trophy which they can display in the work place.

Applications can be made at www.plusonepersonnel.co.uk/awards2013.

For more information, call 01295 262266.

The closing date for applications is December 21 and judging will take place in the new year.
