Information is vital for voting

TODAY I received a leaflet from the Electoral Commission about how to vote at the Police and Crime Commissioner elections on November 15. It is concerned solely with the mechanics of voting.

For information about the candidates one has to go to a website or ring a freephone number which is continually engaged. Considering this is an election of a new type of representative, I consider the presentation is an erosion of our democratic rights.

The candidates should provide written information about who they are and what they seek to achieve. I have always sought to case my vote in any election but this farce drives me to make this election an exception!

Thank you for your care

AFTER 18 years living in Duns Tew, we shall shortly be moving away from the area.

We cannot leave without expressing our thanks and appreciation to the doctors, nurses, pharmacy and receptionists at the Deddington Health Centre.

Without exception, everyone has been friendly, understanding and very helpful over the years. We have been fortunate to be patients at the centre.

Many thanks to you all.

- Brian and Wendy Lewis, Duns Tew
