Folk club promises a night of entertainment

John played in a semi professional capacity with brother Chris and Jim has visited the folk club quite recently as part of Washboard Bills Jug Band Stompers.

NEXT Wednesday promises to be an an evening of entertainment at the Banbury Folk Club with John Leslie, Jim Plester and Friends.

John and Jim started their involvement with folk music back in the 1970s when they were part of the revival of the Adderbury Morris team and each have had separate folk careers since then.

John played in a semi professional capacity with brother Chris and Jim has visited the folk club quite recently as part of Washboard Bills Jug Band Stompers.

They are also both members of The Banbury Country Dance Band, so add in the help of several talented local artists and it promises to be lively and entertaining evening.

Banbury Folk Club meets each Wednesday at 8.30pm at the Mill Arts Centre in Banbury. John Leslie, Jim Plester and Friends are appearing at Banbury Folk Club on November 21.
