A BANBURY mum is coming to the aid of parents faced with the stress of organising a children's party.
Set up by Donna Meredith, Iwantaparty.com allows parents and children to order just about everything they could want for the occasion – either online or through a catalogue – and have it delivered to their do
or the next day.
"It's a one-stop-shop for everything they may want to purchase. We supply the tablewear, decorations, games and activities like treasure hunts and pinatas, party bags – all the paraphernalia," said mum-of-three Mrs Mere-dith, who is based at Colin Sanders Inn-ovation Centre in Banbury.
"And we have packages for themed parties. You've got the perennial favourites like pirate and princesses, but we do lots of others like safari, football and dino-saur."
Iwantaparty.com launched at the end of last year and is aimed generally at children aged ten and below. But Mrs Meredith is happy to work with older individuals, schools and businesses to try to source specific products for their party or event.
Mrs Meredith previously ran a cleaning company but decided to set up her new business following her experiences of arranging parties for her own children.
"I loved doing their parties, but always had problems finding everything I needed. It was very frustrating trying to get the different things, particularly if it was a themed party," she said.
"Parents these days are very busy.
"When it comes to their children's parties they obviously want to give them the best they can, but are often pushed for time; that's where I come in.
"I source materials from a variety of places including the US where the party market is huge. And there's definitely a market for it around here too.
"Children's parties are much bigger affairs than the jelly and ice cream they used to be, there's often now a whole class of children to cater for!"
