THE type of bird flu found among a Shenington farm's chicken flock has been determined.
The Government's chief veterinary officer Nigel Gibbens has confirmed the virus at Eastwood Farm as the H7N7 strain.

Further tests are in progress but preliminary analysis indicates this H7N7 strain is likely to be related to viruses which have previously been detected in domestic poultry and wild birds elsewhere in Europe.
