A LASTING monument to Banbury's 400th charter year is to be crafted by little hands.
Keen young artists at Grange Community Primary School in Avocet Way are among those creating part of a tapestry to mark the event.

Nine schools in total will take part in the project and each will make a square, with Grange's marking Hook Norton Brewery's contribution to the area.

And the brewery has chipped in by sponsoring the pupils' efforts and arranging a visit to the school by some dray horses, which took place on February 1.

Once complete, the tapestry will be exhibited at a series of venues across Banburyshire before going on permanent display at Agnes Court, the news Oxford Cheshire Home.
